Get printed photos anywhere in the U.S. in an hour

While I’m thinking about photos (see previous post) I thought I’d share something my wife and I discovered when we needed to quickly get pictures of our son to my wife’s grandma who lives in another state.

Instead of snail-mail which could take several days, we uploaded the pictures to Walmart’s online photo center. We went through the process of picking sizes and whatnot, but instead of choosing to pickup at our local location, we had the photos printed in Wyoming at the Walmart down the road from Grandma’s.

We called her an hour later and told her they were ready for her to pick up whenever it was convenient for her. She didn’t even have to pay for them as we paid with a credit card online.

Not only is it faster to upload and print to a remote location, but it actually costs less than the stamp to send the pictures! And Grandma got her pictures much faster.

Also, Walmart isn’t your only option. There isn’t a Walmart near my parent’s home in Oregon, so we’ve done the same thing using a nearby Walgreens.

This process has been quite useful to us on a number of occasions. I hope you found it useful too!
